Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

1. Introduction

Pixel Ad Wars ("the Service") is operated by FreeReign ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Pixel content: colors, redirect URLs, and hover text you set on your pixels. This information is publicly visible on the board.
  • Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Buyer ID:a randomly generated UUID stored in your browser's localStorage. This is not personally identifiable information — it's an anonymous identifier used to associate purchases with your browser session.
  • IP address: logged temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention. IP addresses are not stored in our database or associated with pixel ownership.
  • Basic request metadata: standard HTTP headers (browser type, referring page) for security purposes.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not require account creation, email, or login
  • We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels
  • We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To display your pixel content (color, link, hover text) on the public board
  • To process payments through Stripe
  • To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
  • To maintain the transaction ledger (which pixels you purchased and when)

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Stripe (Payment Processing)

We use Stripe to process all payments. When you make a purchase, you are redirected to Stripe's checkout page. Stripe collects your payment details (name, email, card number) under their own Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation of payment — never your card details.

4.2 Supabase (Database)

Our database is hosted on Supabase, which stores pixel ownership data, transaction history, and order records. Supabase operates under their own Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Pixel ownership: retained as long as the Service operates or until the pixel is outbid/nuked.
  • Transaction ledger: retained indefinitely for audit and dispute resolution purposes.
  • Pending orders: expired automatically after 24 hours if payment is not completed.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use no cookies. We store a single item in your browser's localStorage:

  • paw_buyer_id — a randomly generated UUID used to associate your purchases across sessions. This is not a tracking cookie and cannot identify you personally.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (EU/EEA under GDPR, California under CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to:

  • Request access to data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Request data portability

Since we collect minimal data and do not require accounts, most of these rights are moot. If you need to exercise any right, contact us here.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
